Due to the week off, as a group we spent our half-term finishing off all paperwork and documents. This week is going to be the official week of filming, and as I had already prepared for this in week 5, we knew as a group we were well prepared and ready to go. Tomorrow would be the 1st, the day we are going to film. Today we stored the equipment and props in the classroom cupboard, to make sure it is safe for tomorrow's use.

Here is Sahir filming, our actor Ahmed getting into role, and Mr Assegai asking the cameraman where he needs to be sat for the shot, to make sure it fits correctly into the frame |

1st November- Day of filming: We had planned to film after school, as this would be an ideal time to use corridors as they would be empty and therefore allowing us to film more efficiently. At 3.00pm we started getting the actors ready, getting their costumes on, and doing makeup and hair. The cameraman was setting up the camera, ready for our first shot, and I was preparing the actors, the props and the location in order to film. Later, I set up the classroom, briefed the actors and cameraman and we began framing shots. We then began filming, firstly in the classroom, then in the corridor. We had been filming from 3.45-6.30, taking still images and ensuring we get the shots we want. I found it challenging to direct, as it is critical you are aware of everything that is going on, instructing the cameraman and actors, as it is all dependent on the director. Sahir was very consistent in capturing good shots in the first few takes, and Ahmed and Jordan's acting skills really shined through. Furthermore, I myself, also had to help Ahmed with facial expressions and acting, to ensure I got realistic acting. Jordan required minimal acting skills, but still did great justice to her character and really did seem scary!
Here are a few shots of our actor on set:
